The Mouse and His Child [Feb. 15th, 2007|03:11 am]
Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell a Friend Next Entry
I've been looking for this movie for most of my life. I had vague memories of parts of this film, and no one that I decribed it to had seen it. I even started to think that I had just dreamt it all...
A rather disturbing animation really. After more than two decades of shadowy images in my head I was surprised at how familiar it seemed as I watched it again.

... That Jack in the Box and the clock are really fucking creepy. I may give this movie a look over when I return. I still gotta finish the "director's cut" of the Thief and the Cobbler. That's some REALLY fucking trippy shit, especially in its original version. @_@

They don't make 'em like THIS anymore! There's some scary stuff in there. You know what movie I haven't seen for most of my life? The American Rabbit! Man, I thought that movie was so cool!

I bet Grimal has seen this. :D

You can tell it's good animation because everything is constantly moving. ;)

i've been looking for this movie for my entire life. my entire life. the only thing i could remember about it was the really creepy labels on those cans, how they kept repeating and repeating. oh my god. i just accepted this as the memory from my childhood i'd never figure out. i can't fucking believe it. where did we both watch this? i can see why it'd stick with you for that long. jesus, it's creepy. i can't believe it. holy, holy shit. thank you. thank you. thank you.

Man, it's good to know that I'm not alone. I think we were the only two people to ever watch this!
When I watched it again I just kept on saying, "oh shit... oh shit..." the whole way through as I recognized images I had thought I dreamed.
Glad I could point you to it.
How many hundreds of people are out there with these same crazy images in their heads? :O

It was so awesome to find this. The name didn't even do anything to me. I just thought, "Oh, wow, this sounds exactly like what I went through, ho ho ho." Then I saw that can. Holy, holy shit. I thought I was going to fucking pass out.

We have to have a discussion about this. Nobody else could understand how frustrating it's been to describe that "looking into infinity" sequence to people and trying to figure out vague details, hoping it'll magically fall into place. Unbelievable. Is this not the most obscure movie OF ALL TIME? What a world.
