I even started to think that I had just dreamt it all...
A rather disturbing animation really. After more than two decades of shadowy images in my head I was surprised at how familiar it seemed as I watched it again.
I was getting everything packed for yet another cross-country move, which seems to be what I do now, and everything was going swell. I’ve been renting a storage unit just down the road from where I’ve been staying and I went over there tonight to pack a couple more things into my car before I leave tomorrow. The idea being that I’ll ship my huge stuff (washer/dryer etc..) later.

It was probably a little late to drop the F-bomb as loud as I did when I saw that someone had cut the lock off my storage unit and rifled through all my shit. So yeah. I was robbed. But the strange thing about this robbery is the lack of actual theft… the only thing that I could think of that was missing was my tv. And it was kind of a shitty tv so I don’t really care too much about that… the fuckhead(s) sure did take their time looking though every single box I had in there though. I’m sure weeks from now I’ll realize other things that were taken.

With my total lack of crime scene investigation knowledge, this strikes me as a little odd that a shitty TV was apparently the only thing stolen. I mean, my huge computer monitor was in there too. As well as lots of software, comic books, some CDs, my bike. C’mon thieves LOVE swiping bikes. It’s like candy to them. Why would someone spend so much time searching through my stuff if they only end up taking my tv? Maybe they were looking for personal info or something… Or maybe they were planning on coming back… *shrug*

Funny thing, they seemed more than a little interested in the box of furry art that I had in there. They looked through my sketchbook, rearranging the loose pages, flipped through my folder with Bob Drake’s work in it, and when they were done they set them nice and neat on a table in there without taking or ruining a single drawing.
So now all I can think about is some jerk masturbating to furry porn in my storage unit…

Today was a mixed bag. Started out pretty crappy with me having to buy two near rear tires on my car. Somehow in the process they managed to lose the spare tire I had on there, so in the end I got three tires for the price of two. I’ll call that breaking even I guess…

They took their sweet time swapping out the tires though, which caused me to be late for my eye exam. I walked in and immediately noticed that the doctor was pissed. Now, I generally don’t mind people getting upset at me for things beyond my control, I just shrug and move on, but having someone mad at me who’ll be poking at my eyeballs makes me a tad nervous. So after apologizing several times and explaining why I was late he chilled out enough for me to get in the chair. He hurried through the exam, squirted yellow crap in my eyes that made it look like I got hit in the face with a paintball, said I needed new contacts, and sent me on my way. I know that eye exams aren’t really the most risky or emotionally taxing procedure in the field of medicine, but dude needed a little more practice with his bedside manner. The whole experience put me in a rather foul mood.

Then I headed out to meet some local furs. Nice group of guys. I did have to bail a little early to hook up with a buddy of mine though. Hopefully I can get to know some of them a little better sometime. Going to the Zoo was mentioned, which would be cool since I’ve been meaning to go there to sketch some animals. (I like drawing animals!)

I was in a good mood at this point. Then my friend called when I was halfway back and said he had to spend the evening convincing his girlfriend that he still liked her... now I’m back to being angry. And apparently driving too fast for Sergeant Greg. He pulls me over and gives me a ticket.

Math Time!

Buying tires: -1
Free Tire: 1
Jerkface eye doctor: -1
Meeting new friends: 2
Friend with emotional chick: -1
Orificer Greg: -1
Yummy sandwich I’m eating now: 104

Oh, I guess this was a good day.

Making it just slightly colder than satan's asscrack.

Recently I noticed that there were quite a few furs in the area here. I kinda wish I would have checked sooner. We could have hung out and had awesome parties with beer and cheeseburgers. BUT there seem to be several around my home town as well. so it works out. Yeah. I think I'll make a little bit more of an effort to be a member of this crazy world of anthropomorphic animal people fans.

I'll be heading out to some fur cons this year finally.
Yesterday was spent helping a friend of mine pack his stuff up for a move he’s making. Seems like I always end up living far away from my closest friends. On top of that I’m not really sure where I’ll be in the next few weeks…

But anyway, back to packing and moving stuff. My friend of his wife are both accomplished artists, which means a good half of the stuff I was moving was artwork. Now, I’ve helped a lot of friends move, but jamming couches through doors and loading boxes of books onto trucks is very different than gingerly carrying a one of a kind sculpture or a gigantic framed painting. It was slow-going and rather stressful.

They had so much artwork that they couldn’t even take it all. Every time I walked past one of them carrying a drawing or a sculpture they’d either point me to the “keep” or the “throw out” piles. This killed me. I hate throwing out art. So much so that I now have one of their “throw out” photography pieces sitting in my living room. It’s about a 3 foot by 4 foot photo of a nude woman’s chest with a double exposure of a field of grass on top of her.
…
and I have no idea what I’m going to do with it…
I mean, it’s a beautiful picture and all, but I don’t really have anywhere to hang it, and I could see it making people nervous. Heh… or confused.
Suggestions? Anyone want an awesome work of art? :)

The six hours I spent freaking out about breaking one of their works ended with me passing out on my couch the second I got home.
